DON’T MAKE ME FEEL LIKE AN IDIOT

I stood accused!  I had been told, ‘You are making me feel like an idiot’ according to the accuser.

Reasons Not to Be an IdiotImage from Wikipedia

I have a very strong character or, the accuser is just that weak in character where their own opinion of themselves was anybody’s fault but, their own.  The idea that she might be an idiot didn’t even cross my mind until, her childish temper tantrum.  That is when she decided she was an adult being treated like a child.

The feelings were her own feelings.  So, if she was feeling like an idiot then perhaps, she’s right.  Who would be better at analyzing her attributes?  It could be, I was there at the right time just, as she was feeling most like an idiot.  However, it is not my fault that she might be an idiot.

If you are an idiot, it is only because you have decided to make that part of your belief system.

Much as I would like to believe my character is strong enough to make somebody in to an idiot, it isn’t.  I cannot make someone in to an idiot.  I don’t have any magical powers that will change someone from an adult to a child unless they already possess those feelings.

If you find yourself in a debate, and begin with, ‘I’m not an idiot….,’ why was it necessary to even bring that up as a prelude to the subject matter if indeed, the thought never entered your mind that you might be an idiot?  Why would you give an opponent in a debate that possibility to entertain?

So, if you feel you are being treated as something you’re not by, someone else, why did the thought even occur to you in the first place?  You can’t be treated as something you’re not unless, in reality, according to your own thought processing, you just might be…..

The opinion of self is clearly displayed for all to pick up on but, the thought had to occur to you first, before, anybody else.
