ALL FOR ONE & ONE FOR ONE

CORPORATIONS ARE PEOPLE, TOO.  THAT’S CASE LAW IN THE UNITED STATES.  SO, THAT DEGRADES ME, A PERSON, TO THE STATUS OF A  ‘LAW CREATED’ ENTITY OR, UPGRADES AN ENTITY TO THE STATUS OF A HUMAN BEING.

WHEN IT IS CONVENIENT, A CORPORATION IS A PERSON, AND WHEN IT’S NOT, THEY AREN’T BUT, THE LAW SAYS THEY ARE, EXCEPT WHEN THEY’RE NOT.

COULD IT BE THAT, CASE LAW IS TAINTED BY, POLITICS?  NO, WE WOULD NEVER ALLOW THAT IN THE UNITED STATES.

THIS IS VERY CONFUSING.  DO I PAY A CORPORATE TAX OR, INDIVIDUAL TAX?  DOES THE CORPORATION PAY AS AN INDIVIDUAL?  ONE PERSON, ONE VOTE?

TO THINK, THESE PEOPLE NEVER SHOW UP TO VOTE BUT, THEY DO VOTE.

WE CONTINUE TO ALLOW FOR THIS.  WE CONTINUALLY ALLOW FOR THOSE ‘PEOPLE’ TO HAVE THE EAR OF OUR REPRESENTATIVES EVEN AS WE DON’T.  ‘THOSE PEOPLE’ DON’T HAVE TO VOTE.  THEY HAVE REGISTERED THEIR VIEWS WITH LARGE CAMPAIGN DONATIONS WHICH THEY PREVENT, AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE FROM BEING OFFERED BY, REAL PEOPLE.

HOW DO CORPORATIONS DO THAT?  TREAT LABOR AS SLAVES UNDER THE SLAVE DRIVEN, ‘EMPLOYMENT AT WILL‘ LAWS.  DON’T ALLOW THEM TO SHARE ENOUGH OF A CORPORATION’S PROFIT, THEY HELPED TO BUILD, TO MAKE ANY SIZABLE CAMPAIGN DONATION.

GREED IS A TRAIT WE MAY ALL HAVE TO SOME DEGREE BUT, ‘THOSE PEOPLE’ HAVE LOTS MORE.  THE PROFITS SHOWN ARE NOT SUCCESSFUL UNLESS, THEY ARE CONTINUALLY GOING UP.  THAT IS, AT ALL COSTS, THE NUMBERS MUST BE IMPROVED, DAY TO DAY, YEAR TO YEAR.  NEVER MIND, THE CORPORATION WAS PROFITABLE YEAR TO YEAR BUT, THE PROFIT MUST FOREVER BE MOVING UPWARD.

MOST OFTEN, THE CORPORATIONS REWARD THOSE MOST, AT THE TOP OF THEIR HIERARCHY.  A CEO MAKES MILLIONS WHILE THOSE IN THE LABOR FORCE MAKE ENDS MEET.

THOSE AT THE TOP OF THE HIERARCHY MAY BE DISMISSED FOR A JOB POORLY DONE BUT, MANY TIMES THEIR RICH CONTRACTS ARE ‘BOUGHT OUT’ BY, THE CORPORATION AT A PREMIUM. 

WHO PAYS FOR THAT PREMIUM BUY-OUT?  THE LABOR FORCE AS THE CORPORATION MUST GET IT FROM SOMEWHERE IN THE FORM OF WAGE FREEZES, AND BENEFIT REDUCTIONS.  IF IT MEANS DELETING PART OF THE LABOR FORCE THAT CREATED THE PROFIT, SO BE IT.  THEY ARE NOT ABOUT TO LOSE ANY PROFITABLE STATUS OVER SOMETHING AS TRIVIAL AS THIS.

LET’S ADD THIS ALL UP.  YOU GO TO WORK, DO A GOOD JOB, AN EXCELLENT JOB, AND RECEIVE A WAGE FREEZE.  THE CEO SOMETIMES GOES TO WORK, DOES A POOR JOB, AND GIVEN SOMETIMES MILLIONS ON DEPARTURE.

CORPORATIONS MAKE FOR STUPID PEOPLE IF, THEY ARE TO BE CONSIDERED AS PEOPLE.  THEY CONTINUALLY WONDER WHY, THERE IS ORGANIZED LABOR, AND CAMPAIGN ACTIVELY WITH THEIR REPRESENTATIVES IN CONgress TO DESTROY ORGANIZED LABOR. 

CORPORATIONS HAVE PUT THE WORD OUT TO THEIR REPRESENTATIVES DESIRING STRONGER ANTI-LABOR LAWS, AND THE CAMPAIGN FELL IN TO A ‘GO MODE’ AS A NEW, STRONGER SET OF  ‘RIGHT TO WORK’ LAWS ARE POISED FOR DEBATE IN SEVERAL STATES WITH INDIANA BEING THE LATEST RECIPIENT OF ANTI-LABOR LEGISLATION.

WE CONTINUE TO ALLOW THIS, AND ‘THOSE PEOPLE’ ARE WONDERING WHY WE AREN’T GRATEFUL IN THE LABOR FORCE.  WHO REIGNS AS MORE STUPID?

THERE’S AN OPPORTUNITY HERE FOR THE RIGHT PEOPLE WILLING TO LOOK FOR THAT OPPORTUNITY, WHATEVER IT MIGHT BE.  AN OPPORTUNITY TO ELEVATE FROM WHERE WE SIT.

PANTY RAID!

IT’S SHOW TIME, AND THE REPUBLICANS ARE PUTTING ON ONE GREAT SHOW, SO FAR.   SAME SHOW DEMOCRATS, AND REPUBLICANS HAVE PUT ON IN PRIOR YEARS.

AS USUAL, THE SHOW HAS LITTLE TO DO WITH SUBSTANCE, AND MUCH MORE TO DO WITH WHO IS BETTER AT KEEPING THEIR PANTS UP, AND ZIPPED.

HERMAN CAIN GOT CAUGHT WITH HIS PANTS DOWN, AND WAS KICKED OUT OF THE SHOW.

NEWT GINGRICH SEEMS TO FIND HIS SELF WORTH IN POINTING OUT WHOSE PANTS ARE DOWN WHEN THEY SHOULDN’T BE.  NEWT’S PANTS HAVE BEEN DOWN NUMEROUS TIMES WHEN THEY SHOULDN’T HAVE BEEN DOWN.  AS LONG AS HE CAN KEEP THE ATTENTION ON ANYBODY ELSE, THE POSITIONING OF HIS PANTS DON’T SEEM TO MATTER.

WHILE CHEATING ON HIS WIFE, NEWT GINGRICH WAS VERY WILLING TO POINT OUT THE IMPROPRIETIES OF PRESIDENT CLINTON.  ALL IN THE NAME OF POLITICS.  NEWT WANTED TO APPEAR RIGHTEOUS.  TURNS OUT, NEWT’S LEGACY WILL BE, RIGHTEOUS.  A RIGHTEOUS HYPOCRITE WHO CAN’T KEEP HIS MOUTH SHUT OR, HIS PANTS UP.

IF WE’RE GOING TO JUDGE THE NEXT PRESIDENT ON HIS ABILITY TO MAINTAIN HIS PERSONAL ETHICS TO AN ACCELERATED LEVEL , THEY ALL LOSE.  MOST OF US STRIVE TO WORK ON A STRONG SET OF ETHICS.  POLITICIANS, FOR THE MOST PART, DON’T.

AS USUAL, NOT TOO MUCH HAS BEEN SPOKEN ABOUT THE ISSUES AS THE PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES CONTINUE THE ELECTION EXERCISES.  THEY MENTION THEM BUT, ONLY TO SOUND GOOD TO THE MASSES.

THEIR STANCES ON THE ISSUES MEAN NOTHING.  NOTICE A THREAD OF THE LOWEST ETHICS TRAVELS HERE, AND IT HAS BEEN FOR AT LEAST THE PAST FIFTY YEARS.  THESE ARE THE PEOPLE WHO CONTINUE TO TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR, AND HAVE BEEN FOR THE PAST FIVE DECADES, JUST TO GET ELECTED.

FROM THEN UNTIL NOW, HERE IS WHAT THEY HAVE GIVEN YOU. THEY LIE.  IT WAS ALL SUPPOSED TO BE A BETTER PRODUCT, AND IT PROBABLY WOULD HAVE BEEN, WITHOUT THEM.

TAKE THE SEED OF GREED & DO A GOOD DEED

The financially well off have every right to be wealthy.  Good for them.  Especially those arriving there by, legitimate means.

The seeds were planted in the U.S.A. fifty years ago.  Before that, this was a hard working nation sporting mostly groups of ‘haves,’ and ‘have enough to make it.’  There has always been another group, and they have never had enough for one reason or, another.

What happened to the seeds planted in the 60s?  They grew by, leaps, and bounds.  

There was a time that corporations did very well on moderate incomes.  They could have made much more income but, ethics would have to be compromised.  That was not a way of life in this country.  Right was really right, and wrong, was wrong.

All retail activity was turned off on Sundays, and any night of the week after seven.  Sunday was a family day in the United States, regardless of religion.  Families reigned supreme. 

Business ran in tandem with a comparative high ethics standard on every level.  Employees, and employers were glad to be in partnership, and proud of it.  The emphasis was to make an income in the hours allotted.  Everybody made an income.  The employer, and the employee.

Little did we know, seeds were being planted.  These were the seeds of greed.  The seeds would grow, creating a new lower scale for ethics while simultaneously salivating over an unstoppable high level of greed.  The greed would now reign supreme.

Corporations would compromise everything in favor of new unheard of profits.  Some would make three, and four times or, more profit than ever before.

Employees, and employers no longer shared meeting expenses for everybody as a goal.  Employers discovered the art of paying their employees less, and demanding more.  They did not, for the most part, consider their relationship with employees as a reciprocal agreement of loyalty, and dedication.  There was now the attitude of ‘necessary evil’ attached to each employee as they were an expense.

Business had found new high level profits as the new ‘normal.’  In doing so, new goals would have to be met in order to exceed, normal.  After all, who wants to be, just average?  You realize with this self centered, selfish mode of thought, corporate America will always be only normal. average seeking newer levels of greed on a daily basis.  The workers cast aside as much as possible to pump yet, another dollar in on the books.

Business would now hire people with some disdain, and no regard for them except, the numbers they represent to the balance sheet.  Business was so consumed, they would cut back on the old seeds of greed, making way for new seeds to mature.

For the most part, we don’t matter as employees.  Only the numbers, matter to business.

I am more than just mathematics, and I do matter.  How about, you?

Time to do the good deed of digging up, and throwing out each seed of greed.  Plant a different seed of a different kind to take its’ place.
