TV PRIME TIME PROGRAMMING REPLACED
THE REGULARLY SCHEDULED PRIME TIME TV PROGRAMMING FOR TUESDAY WAS REMOVED SO, THE DEMOCRATS, AND REPUBLICANS COULD HAVE A TELEVISED STAGED PARTY UNDER THE GUISE OF, ‘STATE OF THE UNION.’
LUCKILY I HAD A COUPLE OF EPISODES OF, NCIS ON THE DVR.
I MUST ADMIT TO WATCHING NO MORE THAN 10 MINUTES OF THIS EXTRAVAGANZA IN BITS, AND PIECES.
FROM WHAT I DID SEE, IT WAS QUITE TYPICAL. A BLATANT LACK OF RESPECT FOR ONE PARTY BY, THE OTHER. APPLAUSE FOR STATEMENTS MADE, WERE TOO OFTEN ATTENDED TO BY, ONE PARTY WHILE THE OTHER SAT ON SOUR GRAPES.
GROWN MEN, AND WOMEN AS PRIME EXAMPLES TO ALL ON ‘HOW TO NOT COOPERATE.’ LEADERS OF OUR COUNTRY MORE INCLINED TO SHOW OUR CHILDREN A GOOD EXAMPLE OF DISDAIN, AND DISRESPECT.
MITCH MCCONNEL SAID IT BEST, AND WAS TRUTHFUL ABOUT THE MATTER IN 2011. SOMETIMES, SOMEWHERE, ONCE IN AWHILE, BLATANT TRUTHS ARE SPOKEN WITHIN POLITICAL CIRCLES. HE SAID, PARAPHRASING, ‘IT IS NOT POLITICALLY CONVENIENT TO COOPERATE, RIGHT NOW. WE MUST MAKE SURE THIS PRESIDENT DOES NOT SUCCEED.’
THE INDIVIDUAL POLITICAL PARTY OF PRIME IMPORTANCE OVER THE AFFAIRS OF STATE.
THIS WAS A TYPICAL, ‘STATE OF THE UNION’ FULL OF PROMISE (WHAT ELSE IS NEW?) CAMPAIGN PLATFORM. THE USUAL, FEEL GOOD ABOUT WHAT’S ABOUT TO COME, JUST AROUND THE CORNER.
PROMISES RANG OUT AS IF IT WAS AN ELECTION YEAR. THE PROVERBIAL, ‘IT WON’T BE EASY,’ AND THE TYPICAL, ‘IT IS JUST AROUND THE CORNER.’ RANG OUT. OH, YES THAT NEVER ENDING CORNER THAT KEEPS ANGLING AT ABOUT, 5°. IT’S THE CORNER THAT SOMEHOW LASTS JUST LONGER THAN A LIFETIME. WE BOOMERS CERTAINLY ARE AWARE OF THAT AS WE CONTINUE AROUND THAT NEVER ENDING CORNER.
STATE OF THE UNION HAS NOT BEEN STATE OF THE UNION FOR MANY YEARS. THE ‘STATE OF THE UNION’ WAS PUT IN TO THE CONSTITUTION TO MAINTAIN A PROPER CONNECTION BETWEEN THE PRESIDENCY, AND CONGRESS. IT WAS NOT MEANT AS A POLITICAL COMMENTARY BUT, RATHER TODAY’S SPREAD SHEET OF FACT TO INSURE CONGRESS, AND THE PRESIDENCY ARE OPERATING FROM THE SAME PAGE. A VEHICLE FOR TODAY’S NUMBERS.
I DIDN’T GET A GLIMPSE OF THE REPLY. THERE WOULDN’T EVEN HAVE TO BE A REPLY IF THEY WERE ALL TALKING ABOUT THE COUNTRY BUT, INSTEAD THEY ARE SPEAKING SELFISHLY, USING POLITICS AS A GRAB FOR POWER.
I CAN TELL YOU ALL ABOUT THE REPLY I DIDN’T EVEN WITNESS. IT WAS DONE WITH THE FINESSE OF A ROCK. IT WAS A DIRECT POLITICAL ATTACK, FILLED WITH PROMISES GIVING A SHARP 90° ANGLE TO THAT CORNER. THEY WANTED YOU TO KNOW, THEY WOULD HANDLE THIS MESS. UNFORTUNATELY, THEY HAVE MET UP WITH POLITICAL IMPEDANCE DIRECTLY FROM THE OPPOSING PARTY. OH GREAT. SAYS A LOT FOR THEIR COLLECTIVE STRENGTH….
THESE SICKENING PEOPLE ARE DRUNKEN WITH POLITICS. SO MUCH SO, THEY COULD LEAD A HORSE FROM DRINKING WATER.
AND, BECAUSE OF THESE FOOLS, MY WIFE LOST A GREAT OPPORTUNITY, LAST NIGHT. SHE HAD TO MISS RERUNS OF GLEE, AND IN THE MIDDLE.
STOP THE BACK TRACK, SACK THE YAK YAK
Here they go, again. I didn’t mean that, I didn’t say that, here’s what I meant. etc., etc. Stepping back on track but first, stepping all over their tongues to get there.
One place in American society takes me down. Down to the dark side. A negative place I don’t want to be, as it’s bad for the soul.
The American politicians are busy talking, talking, and talking. Defending themselves because, apparently they don’t mean what they say or, say what they mean. Dr. Seuss had a brilliant grasp on American politics!
A sad part of many sad parts of American politics are the lies. The many times they will tie themselves up, and sincerely have you believe in these verbal entanglements.
The Republicans are blaming the Democrats, and guess who’s at fault with the Democrats?
Democrats, and Republicans. If it wasn’t for them, life might be the dream it should be for all of us. Instead, we have these two groups more interested in the prestige, and power than, literally representing the American public. It’s no secret. After all, paraphrasing one of their most powerful from 2011, ‘….it isn’t politically convenient to cooperate….’
Do I finally get it? Just chill out. They’re not here for me, and never have been during my lifetime. Never will be. It just isn’t how it works. They have a totally different agenda.
Knowing that, why am I so frustrated? Possibly because I know, how it should be, how it was meant to be, and how it could have been.
They want to maintain their prestige, and power. Control. There’s the agenda. Knowing that, chill out, and just live with it.
I like watching TV but, I need these people off of my TV. They are depressing. They lie. Every channel, one of them is smiling, reiterating promises, unrealistic, and destined to be broken.
Each network interrupting an enjoyable evening of entertainment to bring me the latest on who found out what about someone else, and dragging them across the political floor. Another politician taking the focus off themselves, and scandalizing their opponents. This has nothing to do with a ridiculous gender innuendo as these are mostly little boys not, little girls.
So, yes, politics is dirty. These are the filthiest in society, the biggest liars, and cheats. They will stop at nothing, and become the best gossip columnists there are, stepping on, and over one another to achieve their agenda.
Where do I possibly gain a glimmer of positive out of all of this? I turn the channel as often as necessary, and move away from them. I continue my life despite the existence of Republicans, and Democrats. I move in directions they can’t have my valuable time. I play within their rules, and succeed, anyway.

CARNIVAL SPORTS SEASON BEGINS
Tis the season…..Time for all Presidential candidates to sound Presidential an
d, risk being exposed for who they might or, might not be in real life.
This is going to be another merry-go-round!
Herman Cain was doing well until, he seemed to be exposed in more ways than one. Others have had items strewn through the arena, as the same team researches their opponents, on the same team, who disagree but, deep down really agree. However, they will say whatever they have to say to become the team’s lead off hitter.
It is America’s team sport. It’s not like the NFL, not like MLB but, a sport that goes beyond both. American politics. I call ‘em as I see them.
Many of us, don’t care enough to fix our system. Otherwise, this would be much more than team sports. It isn’t. We allow for lots of trash talking until, finally someone from one team who has obviously trash talked his or, her opponents on the same team the most, emerges as the best of the worst. We settle. As usual. Democrats, Republicans one in the same.
We laugh, and sigh with hope, knowing in reality that hope has no basis, here. If the last five decades is a licensed teacher for understanding, many testaments will arise for fixing the system. In reality, according to those making promises, and offering hope once arriving to take their elected post, will do a little back pedaling proclaiming, ‘there is no quick fix.’
Really? Again? Should have known. Not in my lifetime. But, what if, just once we dismiss the teacher because hope is still better. What if, just once we don’t settle for this teacher of experience, and instead make hope the new teacher. Why, not?
You see, the system goes nowhere from here without the consensus of the big money ‘vote’ buyers. The buck stops there. Wait! There are laws. Can’t do that, anymore. CONgress had to come clean with laws against lobbyists.
I’m sure glad about that. The big money was stripped from the game? Hardly. CONgress did write, and pass some new laws regarding the biggest money influences. An admission that, things weren’t right, and they were guilty of being bought. Otherwise, why the laws?
Well…..they needed to keep the general public at bay. The new laws did not forbid lobbying, and the residuals it provided. Only made for a different mode of accomplishment but, it can be done.
The reason so many people in high places scoff at Occupy Wall Street is, the core of the group is much too close, realizes all of this, and has had enough.
So, those in high places scoff out of fear knowing if ‘Occupy’ gets further, the ferris wheel will move them from the top to the bottom, the ride will be over, and they’ll have to get out. Lights out, carnival, over!

HOOP DAY
Today, we will visit several medical entities where dollars are due but, since there are no dollars that I can come up with, we will be jumping through hoops to find out where, and how I might come up with the dollars of desire that these medical entities would like to put in their coffers.
I was thinking perhaps we could pay it all off if, there is anything left in my 401k. It won’t be good enough. These people see the magic being worked by, the Clowns of Congress. They know there won’t be a balance in my 401k. That could happen as soon as today. They took a big chunk in 2008, and they’re about to take the rest
Well, I’ve got to go do what I can to save whatever is left in the account. Put it in ‘Money Market’ for the moment.
The pay-off? I’m not too sure. Keep it in a low yielding, Money Market fund til the wind blows itself out then, look one more time as in 2008 for some bargain stocks ravaged by, the wind.
Above all, allegiance to your political party as the Republicans, and Democrats attempt to do nothing for the United States, again like they always do.
It is that allegiance that gives them a free pass, over, and over to mutilate this country. Thank you.

SURPRISE! DEMS/REPUBS AT IMPASSE
Your Democrats and Republicans are, at this point ready to take the country hostage, again. They wouldn’t do that, again? CNBC reports the U.S. Deficit Super Committee is ready willing, and able to do just that.
One of the reasons they’re willing to take us down is to hammer or not hammer a way through to save themselves politically. The bottom line; They’re both wrong! The mere fact they put the country second to political survival illustrates their error. Both, and all of them but, your SINators, and CONgress people are quite confident!
You’ll re-elect the same group by, party lines because the general public is so convinced their ‘team’ is correct. So, the general public will receive much more of what they ask for because, allegiance to the Dems/Repubs supersedes the country’s needs.
Haven’t any of you voting party lines figured out, they aren’t here for you!? As long as we allow their votes to be bought, and sold, they never will be there for you.
So, yawn yawn…much more of the same. Next time we get a President from the G.O.P. who will talk a good campaign then, go on with what they usually do. All the hope but, as usual, back to business as usual.
First we’ll hear the new Government needs to settle in then, the big plans, and to give them time. The blame game begins because, it’ll be the other team’s fault things are not getting done. Finally, the campaign promises are conveniently forgotten as those that have, line up to ‘suggest’ just how your Representative should present, and support new laws.
This is how it’s all worked since I paid attention as a pre-teen, and how it will continue to work. Chain of expected events to continue as is because, you, the voter says it will.
Don’t worry, four years following we’ll have another election. The finger pointing, and slop campaigning will go again, and you honestly believe by, changing the party affiliation of the President we’ll finally have a government as it should be.
You really question, Occupy Wall Street? I question you much more for condoning the lackadaisical, do-nothing Democrats/Republicans continually running the country in to the ground for the past five decades.
At least Occupy is bringing attention to a wide array of issues needing to be addressed.

UNINFORMED, ILL INFORMED, NOT INFORMED
I want to be sure no credence is paid to the uninformed, ill informed, the not informed.
So, with every sentence to anyone who will listen, I will make sure that you are included as being uninformed in every spoken situation I encounter. Every discussion, every written word will be about you, and how uninformed you really are. It will be habitual, and neatly packaged. You will be discredited. You’ll be labeled. There will be many laughs at your expense.
I will be so good at this, that others will stop asking questions because I will be believed. It will be everywhere just because I have repeated the message over, and over that you, are uninformed. I know you, are uninformed, and misinformed. You must be, because I am informed, and part of the status-quo. I like the status-quo because I have power, and money.
How do I know you’re uninformed? Obviously, you disagree with me. Rather than get in to any issue at hand, I will, with more fervor than you could ever imagine, let everyone know just how uninformed you are. That’s how I will deal with my fear of you. I will scream the loudest!
I have more access to the media than you because of my status in society. Let me pause to laugh momentarily as I truly realize you, among others like you, have given me this status. You dare to question or, protest the status-quo where I am one of the beneficiaries. I will crush, you, and any positive reputation you may enjoy. You will be known as an uninformed misfit.
The COWards of CONgress are fearful because, at one time they were thinking these ‘Occupiers’ at Wall Street would just fade. They’d go away. Instead, the group has taken the opposite direction, and expanded over the entire planet.
This is the kind of garbage Occupy Wall Street participants must endure on a daily basis from the COWards of CONgress, and others who, by the way are uninformed, ill informed, not informed about Americans who must make deals with utilities each month to keep their status-quo of electricity, gas, and water for their homes. The Americans who have mounting health, and education bills that so consume them as they frantically look for a way to help themselves out of their financial problems. Those who must just, walk away from their mortgages. The Americans who join the many as no longer credit worthy by, the status-quo.
The status-quo enables many career politicians to continue their eventual capture, and destruction of the Bill Of Rights.
It is best for the status-quo that as many avenues as possible are blocked. Nobody gets through. Violate the basic freedoms afforded Americans to peaceably assemble, and the right to protest as an adversary of the status-quo. Anything. Because after all, it is the status-quo, and because it is the status-quo, that’s the American way. Don’t be un-American, and uninformed.
My status-quo begins here: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
MITCH MCCONNELL IS STILL HERE
The man has priorities. The same as any other career politician, Mr. McConnell is concerned with a top priority, something above all else. His website reflects the order of his concern as he is first, a Republican, then, a U.S. SINator.
Power on the Hill is vital.
Democrats are as guilty as Republicans for this obliteration of America, and what we have become. Each imply there are good guys, and bad guys. That’s incorrect.
We have come to a point where the Democrats & Republicans are both, ‘the bad guys,’ and playing against 99% of all Americans. Yet, we keep re-electing these devils of society.
Obama could be proposing anything, anything at all, and it still gets down to the number one priority. Loyalty to the respective team.
Deny the other ‘team’ access to the White House. Teams by any other name are the ‘bad guys.’ This whole scenario has come to, a miserable low life game for demons, and crooks. Any ‘game’ needs, and receives support from the bench. In this case, the Republicans have depth to the bench with a mentality that illustrates bringing the country down if need be, to ‘win’ the ‘game.’
This positive attitude supports a hope, and wish for failure. Yes, let’s focus on failure. How about a ‘failure to communicate’ by, any of the characters featured, herein? In the interim, (Everybody sing) Bye Bye American pie…..
There are certainly Democrats playing the game but, they are not as vociferous as they might be to actually win. After all, it is only a game, isn’t it?
It is anything but, a game. It is your well being, your family’s well being. It is much divorced from any game I know, and should be treated that way.
CAIN’S MUTINY
Herman Cain is now the frontrunner as the GOP’s choice for President according to some polls.
The Republicans, and Democrats are beginning to understand, tax loopholes they have placed in the tax code are unpopular with the masses. It took us awhile before we realized it, and a long while to voice our discontent. Perhaps we waited, and waited for CONgress to act. Once it became obvious they would retain their $upport maintaining the loopholes, we finally lost all patience. We were patient for a long time but, now we are confident CONgress has no interest in representing the majority. The loopholes are obviously class warfare.
Herman Cain understands the reasons for unrest amongst the classes as does Warren Buffett. These men have lots of money, and are saying the United States Tax Code is biased with loopholes in their favor.
Many conservative Republicans will back off from Cain as Cain may not be a typical Republican. He, wants to utilize a landfill for the tax code. Throw it all away. Do what’s right for America forsaking any ideology that may want to prevent equalizing the playing field.
The dedicated Republicans, and Democrats have much to lose politically.
Whether Cain’s 9-9-9 tax plan is the answer is open for debate. In any case he is suggesting, and advocating the idea that government does not have to move like a snail for change. Rather, sweeping legislation can change the picture at a rapid pace. We don’t have to wait for lifetimes, and then some to reap the rewards.
I hope Cain is not suggesting a slow, grueling crawl through necessary changes. We have been trained by, the ‘pack animal’ mentality in Washington to believe nothing moves quickly, especially if it runs counter to political ideology, and special interests $upporting those beliefs.
It is time to shed the shell, and move.
I am not voting Democratic or, Republican. Those dedicated to their respective parties above all else speak for their respective parties….above all else. They echo each other. I don’t like pack animals except from a distance.
Up to now, I have voted for whoever will promise to remain the most inactive. Who will promise to do the least damage under the current environment of moving slow, and doing nothing to improve the standard of living for the majority. The last fifty years are a testament.
I would vote for anyone willing to take immediate action for immediate results transcending political gain to curb the ever widening gap of economic class warfare that continues.
Disclosure: I am not a Democrat or, Republican. I am an Independent Pelican.
