It’s Okay To Say: Sorry

If you have erred, and someone is on the other side of the situation, it’s okay to say, ‘Sorry.’

Sorry is something, I must say, right now.  I am very sorry to the people who have taken their time, and effort to nominate me for blogging awards.

Yes, I had every intention of accepting them.  With the acceptance comes a responsibility to at least, respond.  I did respond but, responding is not even enough.  I responded in haste with a thank you, and an intention to follow through.  That’s where I left it.

As some medical problems crept up on me, I became lazy, and put things to the side.  This was one of them.

So, I must once again, thank those bloggers who took their time, and made the effort.  At the same time, I am very sorry for leaving the situation where it sits now.

I should have been a better blogging citizen, and offered a direct, truthful communication of my sub-conscious choice to put things aside.  They somehow just got put aside, and as time passed, all the air was let out of the tires.

Apologies offered, and hopeful of your future trust.

200

200 is somewhat of a milestone.  This will be the 200th post on this blog.

I thought awhile about, what I might write for the 200th.  Then, it came to me!

Nothing!  Absolutely nothing!  ….And yet, if there really was something.  What, then?

Just, peace, and happiness for each that reads this post.  A truly profound desire that we can all live out each of our life’s desires in perfect harmony.  No strife, worries, etc.

Only one rule, if I may…..No life’s desires to infringe upon any other, and their life’s desires….

Enjoy your life’s desires.

Acceptance

Choosing my place within this community should only remain in tact if I am being respectful, and worthy of your time.  I have every intent of remaining supportive, and absolutely respectful.  My intention is to enjoy, and to return enjoyment.

It is really humbling when someone else is accepting of my choices.  Humbling when, they want to cite me for  apparently making good choices within this blogging community.

So, I’m thankful to Living4Bliss for awarding me the ‘Very Inspiring Blogger’ merit.

It means a lot when someone takes the time, and effort on my behalf.  Thank you.  Please join Living4Bliss at her very inspiring blog, Mental Health Food.  Her post was quite an entertaining piece on April Fools Day, and actually got me to think, I just might be someone’s, April Fool.  That post turned on the light, and indeed, I was the fool on the coveted day.

To receive this award, I get to bestow this honor on  7 other blogs.  I don’t take this lightly as so many of you are inspiring in so many ways.

I hope the following blogs will accept this award for their contributions.

The Possibilitarians Light  This is a positive, everything is possible blog from Cruz2Lose featuring a new post with instructions on escaping a rut because, you can.

Being Julz  Julie is an accomplished photographer with a focus on African Violets, and other random thoughts.

Tracie Louise Photography  Seeing the beauty in all things with positive thoughts, and professional photos.  A morning oasis.

Positive Cookie Attitudes   Jay bakes in a positive, recipe for your day. It inspires my day, every day.

Weight 4 Us  Surprise!  Every I time I go here, it is an enjoyable, intelligent, humorous, witty surprise beginning with weight loss but, also includes a not so necessarily final meal in your coffin, and an April Fool’s prank.

Writing From My Heart   I have started to venture here, as Elysia writes from the heart, and is the Daughter of the Weight 4 Us, Mother-Daughter alliance.  Elysia has recently written about her break from Facebook.

The Responsive Universe  A real study of the Universe, and all its’ many offerings. The latest post will introduce you to a circle of experience.  A real learning experience.

Each of these bloggers are inspirations in a variety of ways, and I thank them for their continued efforts.

Seven little known things about me.

Elaborating on a High School incident.  My Father was summoned to school without my knowledge to discuss my Ferris Bueller tendencies with the Principal.  My Father re-told the story, years later.  The Principal told him any time of the school day he only had to open his window blinds, and there I’d be, headed…somewhere for something.  Sure enough, during their chat, the Principal raised the blinds, and there I was, going somewhere for something.  A few years later, they would bring my story, with some exaggeration, to the screen.

Smoked pot once.  Put me to sleep.  Never took drugs prior or, after.

Must have intended hot food, hot….not, warm.

Pizza must be just right, with anchovies.

Sleep hours, approximately 830pm – 2am daily.

Traveled to Japan many years, ago.  Part of my self-discovery with Nichiren-Shoshu Buddhism.

Will retire filthy rich with a happy family on a beachfront property.

Thank you, again to Living4Bliss for giving me this award.  That was a very nice thing, to do.

Seven things about me that nobody else should have knowledge so, of course fulfilling the requirements this is for Cruz2Lose

As a teen, I still remember the purple & black checked bell bottom pants I wore with a pink shirt.  Awful!

Took a trip to Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco as a teen to become a well-schooled Hippie without drugs.  Could be true meaning of, ‘Flower Child?’

Upon graduating High School & some College, went to Bill Ogden’s Radio Operational Engineering School for FCC First Class License

Left home – first time – at 18, and became AM Radio Rock & Roll Disc-Jockey, Roswell, NM.  It got better with graduation to Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Still like the music of the 60s, …She Loves You, Yeh Yeh Yeh

Born, raised, Dodger fan, L.A., Southern California.  Will retire to beachfront.  Have no idea what the click is, between where I live now, and there. Discovery…12 yrs. worth but, discovery none the less.

Favorite School Activities as Teen:  Disc-Jockey Club, Photo Class.  A possible model for a future Ferris Bueller as I had more, very important out of classroom business than, in classroom business…Once actually proven to my father, there were no words, out.

Coming Back From An Early Gravatar

Back from the Grave

Image via Wikipedia

As the last bit of dirt was being shoveled upon my early Gravatar site, I fought desperately for the blogging life I once knew.

I don’t know what strange phenomena was ruling over my lack of ability to comment on pages requiring registration.  Don’t know if Gravatar was lurking, Word Press in the shadows or, a combination.

If I was reading a blog where I wanted to comment, and it had a registration, sign-in box where clicking on the WP icon was all that was necessary, it refused my entry.

Today, I took one step out of the Gravatar.  Instead of logging in, I went to the first blog, and read a post.  Wrote my comment, clicked on the WP icon.  Pop-up for sign-in.  Logged in, clicked on the ‘X‘ in the upper right hand corner of the pop-up for sign-in.  Clicked on the Post Comment icon, and closed my eyes for just a moment.

Upon regaining clear vision, instead of the error message, my comment had posted.  I had both feet out of the Gravatar, and a renewed blogging life.  I won!  The seemingly, forever lost ability to comment was somehow restored.

I refused death at my Gravatar site, taking my left foot, then, my right out of the Gravatar, and cursed the demons trying to retain me, into oblivion!  Absolutely nothing is impossible.  Nothing!

Congratulations, Salutations & Other Greetings

For the moment, Gravatar is being stubborn but, that’s okay.

After all there is more than one way to make a comment.  In the absence of my normal ability to comment, I will make good, right here.  It is very strange that I am able to leave comments on some pages but, not on all.

Tried to post a comment on Tracie Louise Photography, and came up with the following message:

That email address is associated with an existing WordPress.com account, please log in to use it.

Don’t they understand?  I am logged in.  I can prove it.  I just posted a comment on another blog under the same circumstances.

Tracie Louise was happily surprised with her blog stats, in a post she made the other day.  I’m very happy for her because, she offers such a comfortable blog environment for the reader.  Like driving along a highway, and amidst all of it, an oasis with trees, birds, a comfortable place to sit down, and an opportunity to take in the fresh air of the positive thought prevailing throughout.

I wanted to comment but, due to a Gravatar error, I couldn’t.

So, Tracie.  It’s the law!  Every day, you work hard to bring your thoughts, and absolutely remarkable photography for us to enjoy.  You inspire our imaginations, and help us all to grow, challenging the depths of our thoughts.

I am quite pleased :-) , and really proud of you.  You must know, however, nothing else could have happened. The laws of the Universe are, as you know, prevailing truths.

My only wish in this regard is, you continue to make this genuine cause, and you reap the effect of that cause in many multiples of the numbers you have received to this point.

Thanks, Tracie!

They’re Taking Me To An Early Gravatar

I may be older but, too young to be buried.

Gravatar 2.0 - retouched

Logged in to my WP account as I do every day or, at least every other day.  I went to another blog, ready to read.

I read, and as usual, I thought of my perspective on the post.  So, I took the usual route.  Write what I wanted to write as a comment.  Click! on the WP logo, and it was a no go.

A no go?  Yes, a no go.  It was early in the morning so, I thought, okay give it another try.  I did, and wouldn’t you know it?  A  repeat performance.

If I wanted to post this comment, I needed to add a legit. e-mail address, and sign in.  I should have known something had gone awry because, instead of my usual image, the generic Gravatar image was next to my sign-in.

Heyyyyyyyy…..what’s going on?  Am I lost?  Are they?  Would they restore me or, just take me to an early Gravatar?

They’re digging a hole, and I’m in it.  My early Gravatar site.   I’m too young!

This could get a little dirty………

Thankful For My Versatile Naivete

a naive male icon for gender distinction

The naive not only survive but, I can say with all certainty, and specificity, the naive might surprise you with their success.

Being naive, can be embarrassing or, naivete can be used as a very special tool.

I use it as a special tool.  It is a tool for honesty because, when I don’t know, I will say, ‘I don’t know.’  I could make up some stories, and possibly sound authoritative but, that could easily come back to haunt me in the future.

If it is a piece of information, I should know or, just want to have a grasp upon, I will also say, ‘I’ll find out.’  My naivete becomes a catalyst for yet, another tool.  Where do I find out, without question, an answer to the current dilemma plaguing my naivete?  So, it is a source discovery tool.  Discovering sources for new information.

It is a discerning tool.  Naivete helps the mind to become sharper at discerning between the relevant, and superfluous.

Naivete is a great opportunity as the mind must go through many exercises to arrive at a conclusion.  It is a tool for mind expansion.  The mind grows.  Not only with the answer but, most often with newly discovered information surrounding that specific answer, previously unknown.

So, why am I exposing my naivete?  I’m glad you asked.

I am ecstatic!  It is so nice to be appreciated, and I feel appreciated with many thanks to cruz2lose for nominating me for the ‘Versatile Blogger’ award.

Cruz2lose’ blog is a highly informative, cheerful, humorous story of two young ladies losing weight.  Mom, and daughter on a pathway together, united in a quest to become healthier, and happier.  Please go there, and enjoy!

Versatile Blogger has a nice ring to it but, I had no idea……what did that mean?  I was naive on the subject at hand.

I went to my favorite search engine, ixquick.  Searched the following: ‘Versatile + Blogger + award,’ and first up in search results, the blog dedicated to VBA.  Everything I needed to know about the subject.  I can no longer claim naivete to the subject, and have found I have some things to do in order to accept the nomination.  So, I will post an acceptance within the next couple of days.

Thanks, again to cruz2lose for the nomination, and all of you who lend your precious moments of time to me, never asking for anything in return.

How fortunate I am, to be naive but, be assured.  ‘I will always find out!

Only The Selfish Can Participate In Unselfish

I championed the goodness of being selfish in a discussion, the other day.

I was overwhelmingly overruled.  There could be no goodness in selfishness.

Rather than go off on a long dissertation as to why I do believe in a good side to selfishness, I will simply direct you to another discussion that ensued on another blog.  Be prepared to broaden your understanding of being selfish.

I invite you to not only read Being Selfish on Tracie Louise Photography but, to also enjoy the accompanying photo.  The comments contribute to the entire scenario, so please read them as well.

Tracie always exhibits a nice relaxing atmosphere of positive thought, and discussion, balanced with some remarkable photography to complete each presentation.

Enjoy some of the other presentations on the Tracie Louise Photography Blog.

New Avenues To Travel

I have been called to the carpet for using, Caps.  It is not polite or within internet etiquette to ‘Cap’ out as it is construed as shouting.

I knew that but, I had the perfect excuse.  Broken thumb impaired my ability to keyboard properly, and the Cap lock was much easier on, than off.  Everybody would understand, and be accepting.

How can someone accept what they don’t know, and why should they understand?  Why should I get to be the exception, and everything’s okay?

Upon first receiving the comment, I must admit to being incensed, and annoyed.  I was thinking, of everything here, and that’s the best information they could get from all that I have written?

First impressions can be the most lasting.  The shouting was overwhelming, and rather than remain they chose to leave.  After all who, in their right minds want to be overwhelmed with shouting?

Over modulation.  Distortion.  In that, any valid message is lost.

So now, I’ve found a new avenue of transport thanks to that comment giving me impetus for more thought.

It is up to me to find a way to overcome my disability.  The disability is mine, not the internet community’s at large.

This is taking a lot longer to write than usual but, should become easier, and faster with time.  The disability may mean, a slower output on the keyboard but, it is mine to reconcile, and there are rules that must be paid adherence.

I thank the commenter for taking the time to leave his comment.
